NEWS: PayPal Park to Host International Friendly Between Guatemala and Panama on March 12

SAN JOSE, Calif. – PayPal Park, home of the San Jose Earthquakes, will host a friendly match between the men’s national teams of Guatemala and Panama on Sunday, March 12 at 4 p.m. PT. It marks the first match between the two national teams at PayPal Park.

An exclusive presale for Earthquakes Season Ticket Holders will begin on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. PT before tickets are made available to the general public that afternoon at 2 p.m. PT. Tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster.com.

Guatemala returns to PayPal Park for the first time since facing El Salvador in a friendly on April 24, 2022. Los Chapines continue to evolve under the guidance of Mexican head coach Luis Fernando Tena as they prepare for their upcoming Concacaf Nations League matches vs. Belize (March 24) and French Guiana (March 27).

A member of FIFA’s Concacaf confederation, Panama has participated in prestigious competitions like the 2018 FIFA World Cup and Concacaf Gold Cups, including being runner-ups in 2005 and 2013. Led by Danish head coach Thomas Christiansen and captained by former Quakes defender Harold Cummings, Panama continues preparations for their upcoming Concacaf Nations League match vs. Costa Rica on March 28.
