Eric Weber strikes again.
The club's assistant equipment manager has generated quite the following among Quakes fans for his depictions of some of the most memorable moments in recent Quakes history, to match posters for the
biggest games
and recently for his work on the
box that Season Ticket Holders received
as their 2017 gift.
So many have asked for copies of his work that we've decided to print 7,500 of Weber's Quakes vs. Portland Timbers match poster and give them away at Saturday's game. His latest creation marks the first time Nick Lima, Marco Ureña & Jahmir Hyka have been illustrated in his signature, bold style.
The poster, divided into thirds, shows Nick Lima's smashing a long-range hit through trees, making them "timber," if you will... The center portion highlights Jahmir Hyka's unique dribbling style as his low center of gravity, balance, quickness and explosiveness helps him weave through the forest creating opportunity after opportunity for the Quakes. The lower third shows Marco Ureña sliding in celebration, taking the roots out from under the trees as he glides away in celebration.
