The San Jose Earthquakes’ U-14 Girls Development Academy side were crowned 2017 Surf Cup Champions in the top U14 development academy bracket this past weekend in San Diego.

The girls boasted an undefeated 4-0 record throughout the tournament, including a 4-0 win against West Coast FC and 1-0 victory against So Cal Blues.
In the semifinals, head coach Andres Deza and his team defeated US Youth Soccer National Champions San Diego Surf 5-2.
In the championship match, the girls came back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat Texas side Solar Chelsea 5-3.
