ACADEMY UPDATE: February 12, 2018

The U-15, U-17 and U19 Boys' Academy teams enjoyed successful matches against the Santa Cruz Breakers Academy on Saturday, Feb. 10, where the U-15s won 2-0, the U-17s won 6-3 and U-19s won 4-1. The next day, the U-12s, U-13 and U-14 teams also faced the Santa Cruz Breakers Academy. Both U-12 teams won with 9-0 and 6-2 results, the U-13s won 3-0 and U-14s lost 4-2.

This Saturday, Feb. 17, the U-12s, U-13 and U-14 teams will face Marin FC Alliance at Evergreen Community College. The U-12s will play at 11 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., U-13s at 10 a.m. and U-14s at 12 p.m.

This past weekend the Girls' Academy U-14 and U-15 traveled to Southern California. On Saturday, Feb. 10, they faced San Diego Surf, where the U-14s lost 4-1 and U-15s won 1-0. On Sunday, they faced Albion SC where the U-14s won 2-0 and U-15s tied 2-2. The Girls’ Academy teams do not have any games this weekend.

In other news, Earthquakes Girls’ Academy midfielder Sophie Jones has been called up to the U-17 U.S. Women’s National Team for the Copa Provincia Tournament in Mar Del Plata, Argentina. The U-17s will face Chile on Feb. 13, Uruguay on Feb. 15 and Argentina on Feb. 17.
