Jean-Julien Foe Nuphaus added to U.S. U-19 MNT roster for Slovakia Cup

Quakes Academy defender Jean-Julien Foe Nuphaus has been called up to the U.S. Under-19 Men’s National Team to travel to Trnava, Slovakia from May 1-12 to participate in 2018 Slovakia Cup. The U.S. has been drawn into Group B with Czech Republic, Kazakhstan and Ukraine, while Azerbaijan, Hungary, Slovakia and Wales make up Group A. All teams will face a fourth opponent in the placement stage, but only the two group winners will vie for Slovakia Cup Champions. Read the full story here.


Two Quakes Academy Players to Join U-16 GNT UEFA Women’s Development Tournament in Portugal

Quakes Academy players Andrea Kitahata and Abby Borchers have been called up to the U.S. Under-16 Girls’ National Team to participate in the UEFA Women’s International Development Tournament being held from May 12-16 in northern Portugal, about 75 miles north of Porto. In the four-team tournament, the USA will face Belgium on May 12 at Rebordosa AC Stadium in Rebordosa, take on host Portugal on May 14 in Capital Móvel Stadium in Paços Ferreira and finish against Switzerland on May 16 at Municipal Stadium Coutada in Arcos Valdevez. Quakes Draftee Kevin Partida earns spot on USL Team of the Week

After a stunning debut in Reno 1868 FC’s Starting XI in their previous match, Sparks product and Reno midfielder Kevin Partida earned USL Team of the Week honors. Partida notched his first goal as a professional soccer player in Reno’s 2-0 win over OKC Energy FC. The screamer from outside the box ricocheted off the top crossbar and into the net setting Reno up for the club’s first home win this season. The goal is nominated for USL Goal of the Week.
