Earlier this month, Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski scored his 144th MLS goal against the New York Red Bulls and is now just two goals shy of breaking Major League Soccer’s all-time goals record held by Landon Donovan (145).


The Future

Earthquakes midfielders Gilbert Fuentes and Eric Calvillo both made their first Quakes start against Liga MX leaders Cruz Azul in an international friendly this past Saturday. 


Fountain of Youth

In their friendly against Cruz Azul, the Quakes starting lineup featured six players that are 23 years old or younger including: Gilbert Fuentes (16), Eric Calvillo (20), JT Marcinkowski (21), Yeferson Quintana (22), Luis Felipe (22) and Nick Lima (23).


Club and Country

Earthquakes players Vako and Guram Kashia were recently called to the Georgia National Team to continue their UEFA Nations League campaign.  On Saturday, Oct. 13, Vako led Georgia to a 3-0 win over Andorra, scoring two goals in the match. Georgia are currently the leaders of Group 1 and are on the verge of being promoted to League C, given they earn positive results in their next two matches (Latvia, Andorra). 


A Little Revenge

The Earthquakes fell 2-1 to the Rapids this past August and will look to bounce back against the side this Saturday.


Lima Time

Homegrown defender Nick Lima has started in all of the Earthquakes’ 32 MLS matches this season, accumulating the most minutes of any Quakes player in 2018 (2,869).

San Jose Earthquakes to Host Seventh Annual Wine and Dine Event October 19

The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club will host the seventh annual Wine and Dine with the Quakes event on Friday, Oct. 19 from 6-10 p.m. PT at the Boulder Ridge Golf Club in San Jose. All proceeds will benefit the Quakes Foundation, which works to facilitate unity through sport and support programs that produce positive change for children and families in the community with an emphasis on health and fitness. Earthquakes to Host Cider Fest at October 21 Match Against Colorado Rapids

The San Jose Earthquakes will host Cider Fest, presented by Strongbow, featuring local cideries at Avaya Stadium on Oct. 21 as part of the game day activities for the match against the Colorado Rapids. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Quakes Foundation. Cider Fest will start at noon at a cider garden located in the 7UP Epicenter and will last until kickoff. Fans can purchase a ticket to Cider Fest for $15 with this link. Cider Fest tickets come as an add on to tickets for the Quakes match bought on the primary market and include four 4 oz cider tastings and a commemorative taster glass. Read the full story here.


Earthquakes Midfielder Jahmir Hyka Undergoes Surgery to Repair Facial Fractures

San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Jahmir Hyka underwent reconstructive surgery to repair multiple facial fractures on Friday afternoon. The injuries were sustained during a training session last week. The surgery was performed by Dr. Jon-Paul Pepper and is expected to sideline the Albanian midfielder for 2-3 weeks. Hyka, 30, joined the Earthquakes ahead of the 2017 season. Over the past two years, he has tallied six goals and five assists in 49 appearances.
