NEWS: Earthquakes Announce 2019 Theme Nights

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today the promotional calendar and theme nights for the Quakes’ home matches during the 2019 MLS regular season. This season’s theme night calendar will see the return of fan favorites like PG&E Heritage Nights with Mexican Heritage Night on Saturday, May 4 and Portuguese Heritage Night on Saturday, Aug. 31, along with new additions for 2019.


The Earthquakes will kick off the season on Saturday, March 2 at 6:45 p.m. against the Montreal Impact. Opening Night will mark head coach Matias Almeyda’s first MLS match with San Jose, and every fan in attendance will receive a Quakes hat.


Other theme night classics returning for the 2019 season include the Hall of Fame Day, presented by Audi, which will take place on Saturday, May 18 at 12:30 p.m. against the Chicago Fire, and Pride Day on Saturday, June 8 at 12:30 p.m. against FC Dallas, presented by Wells Fargo.


New for the 2019 season is Women’s Soccer Appreciation Night, presented by Good Humor, celebrating the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Saturday, July 27 at 6:45 p.m. against the Colorado Rapids. This season will also see Gamer Night come to Avaya Stadium for the first time on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 7:15 p.m. as the Quakes take on Columbus Crew SC, presented by Kelly-Moore Paints. Fans will have the chance to play FIFA 19 against Quakes eMLS Player CaliSCG on Gamer Night, as the club celebrates the rise in e-sports.


Continuing the success of last year, Wells Fargo Neighborhood Nights will return for the 2019 season. The Quakes will celebrate and give back to the communities that surround San Jose at each home game, starting with Downtown San Jose on Opening Night.
