Elise Evans, Andrea Kitahata and the U-17 United States Women’s National Team have returned from Mirandela, Portugal, where they competed in the UEFA Women’s Development Tournament. The U.S. went undefeated in the four-team competition, beating Mexico 4-0, Russia 5-0 and Portugal 6-1.
Quakes defenders Evans and Kitahata featured in all three matches and only conceded one goal. Evans tallied two starts in the competition while Kitahata started all three.
The Quakes Academy standouts have both committed to Stanford Women’s Soccer, where they will continue their academic and athletic careers.
