ACADEMY: Where our boys stand | Generation adidas Cup

2019 - first round recap - ga cup

The San Jose Earthquakes U-15 and U-17 Boys' Academy teams have completed the first round of Generation adidas Cup Qualifying in Kansas City. Both squads took on Minnesota United FC, LA Galaxy and hosts Sporting Kansas City. Following their first three matches, the U-15s are second in their group with two wins and one penalty kick loss (worth 1 point) while the U-17s sit in third with one win, one regulation-play loss, and one penalty-kick loss.


The second round of Generation adidas Cup Qualifying will begin on President's Day weekend in 2020 and will take place at LA Galaxy's Dignity Health Sports Complex. The Quakes will aim for a first or second place finish in their respective groups in order to advance to the Division 1 bracket in the Generation adidas Cup. Stay tuned for updates.
