NEWS: Earthquakes conclude Santa Barbara trip with 2-0 win over Ventura County Fusion

The San Jose Earthquakes concluded their two-week trip in Santa Barbara, Calif. by defeating USL League Two side Ventura County Fusion 2-0 on Friday morning. The two teams played four 25-minute quarters.

Sixteen-year-old Homegrown midfielder Niko Tsakiris and midfielder Jack Skahan each scored a goal for the Quakes, while first-round SuperDraft selection Ousseni Bouda tallied an assist on Skahan’s goal. Goalkeepers Matt Bersano and JT Marcinkowski combined for the shutout.

The Earthquakes will now return to San Jose for final preparations ahead of the Home Opener vs. the New York Red Bulls on Feb. 26.
