Anibal Godoy and Harold Cummings Named to Panama’s Final Roster for 2018 FIFA World Cup

Midfielder Anibal Godoy and defender Harold Cummings will represent the San Jose Earthquakes at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, after the duo were named to Panama’s final 23-man roster by the Football Federation of Panama. Panama earned its place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup by finishing third in the CONCACAF region’s fifth and final qualifying round, behind first-place Mexico and second-place Costa Rica with a 3-3-4 record. Quakes Foundation to Host Inaugural Shake, Rattle & Hold ‘em Poker Tournament on July 20

The Quakes Foundation will host its inaugural Shake, Rattle & Hold ‘em Poker Tournament on Friday, July 20 at the Club Auto Sport from 6-10 p.m., with a cocktail hour from 5-6 p.m. The proceeds from the tournament will go to the Quakes Foundation, benefitting underserved youth in the community. The tournament will feature local celebrities, giving fans the opportunity to play alongside their favorite athletes in the Bay Area while helping a good cause. Celebrity guests will include Quakes midfielders Magnus Eriksson, Florian Jungwirth and Tommy Thompson, along with current Quakes assistant coach and decorated retired MLS player Steve Ralston. Five Quakes Girls’ Academy Players Called to U.S. GNT

Five players from the San Jose Earthquakes Girls’ Academy have been called up to the U-15 and U-14 U.S. Girls’ National Teams. Defender Andrea Kitahata will join the U-15s as they travel to the Netherlands for a training camp from June 3-13, while defenders Elise Evans, Kathryn Kelly, midfielder Yuna McCormack and forward America Frias will unite with the U-14s for a training camp in Chula Vista, Calif. taking place May 26 through June 2.
